I’m about to go on tour with Toporkestra! We are going to drive to France, where we have some weddings. Then we will busk our way down to Morocco and back to Kiev! More interestingly, here is a picture of our vegetable garden:
Hopefully when we get back we will have huge amounts of potatoes, carrots, parsnips, leeks, onions, beetroots, turnips and beans! Now for some of the 5 cats:
This is an example of Toporkestra:
Nothing is concrete, nothing can last forever, and this isn’t strictly a professional musician’s blog anymore. I’m still figuring out what the plan is, but not getting stressed. I’m not playing weddings in pop covers bands anymore – but in gypsy punk klezmer bulkan bands instead, sometimes for Gypsy gangsters. Kiev is unbelievable. The east rocks. I’m in love with it.
If you are interested check my soundcloud for new recordings. I took my 90% destroyed apple mac back from England in hand luggage, and we are able to use my caravan battery and power inverter in the van to set it up on the move! I once more have all the music gear I need. Whenever we have internet I will continue on this uploading mission. I think this 12,000 mile van trip (18 countries and 6 planes) and all of the new songs and styles I have learnt could build up into some kind of Ethnography masters degree one day. I just hope everything works out with the van(s). Yesterday we bought 400 litres of diesel for £200! Bye for now…
